Thursday
Generally a cloudy, cold day across Scotland with patchy outbreaks of mainly light rain at times. A lot of cloud too across northern parts of England with some early bits of rain across Cumbria, otherwise dry. For much of England and Wales it will be a dry day with sunny spells a few sharp showers may affect mainly Wales and the south west. Quite windy this morning but they lessen for the afternoon. Expect highs of 13 to 18 Celsius.
Thursday Night
Much of the country will have a dry evening. Overnight more persistent rain may affect northern parts of England, Northern Ireland and western Scotland. The rest of Britain will be dry with mist developing by morning. A mild night with minimum temperatures of 8 to 11C.
Friday
Increasingly windy with gales developing around western coasts later in the day. One area of rain will be across Scotland while another rain the south west of England in the morning spreads in much of England and Wales in the afternoon though the far south east may stay dry. Windy this evening and tonight with further spells of rain but mainly dry across East Anglia and the south east of England. Maximum temperatures of 12 to 16 Celsius.
Saturday
Saturday looks breezy and mild with a good deal of cloud across the country along with some local pockets of rain here and there. Some areas will also be dry with some brighter spells. Confidence is low but an area of heavier rain may run up into south east England and East Anglia in the evening then may sweep north into northern England and Scotland in the night. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 18 Celsius.
