A wet morning with cloud and some heavy periods of rain passing slowly north and east through the UK. Heavy showers following into Ireland, western Wales, the west of England and western Scotland. A windy morning too. The afternoonj sees rain in the east, slowly edging into the North SEa. Some heavy spells of rain across northern England and eastern Scotland at first, but this easing. Showers and some sunny spells moving into the west later, these showers turning heavy on western and southern coasts. Staying breezy. Highs at a mild 14 to 18C.

Tuesday night
Rain clears eastern areas of Scotland and England in the first part of the night. Showers, heavy at times, across Ireland, Wales and western parts of England, some of the showers merging into longer spells of rain at times. One or two showers making it further eastwards too. Staying breezy with lows of 7 to 11C.

Wednesday
An area of low pressure is expected to be close to northern Scotland on Wednesday. This brings a brighter, fresher day to all parts of the UK and Ireland. There will be some heavy showers around, these mergining into longer spells of rain at times. Most of the showers across more northern and western areas, with the most scattered in the south and east. watch for more persistent rain in northern and central Scotland in the morning. Highs at 10 to 17C.

Thursday
A weak ridge of high pressure through the country o Thursday. Low pressure is expected to be both south and north of the country. A weak occluded front from southern Ireland to southern England bringing cloud and some spots of rain with it. Some showers for northern Scotland. Elsewhere mist and fog patches at first, these then clearing with sunny spells developing. Highs at 9 to 16C.
