Friday
A windy, unsettled but mild day across the country. It soon brightens up with some sunshine developing across southwest England and south Wales this morning. Elsewhere it will be cloudy morning with an area of moderate to heavy rain across the country. Heaviest of the rain is likely to be across northwest England into Scotland this morning. By afternoon much of England and Wales will be drier and sunnier with rain across northern Scotland, although showers may affect the west and across northwest England, some of these could be heavy. Western parts of Northern Ireland and also see some persistent rain. Expect highs of 14 to 18 Celsius.
Friday Night
Continued quite windy through the evening and night. Persistent rain expected across north western parts of England, Northern Ireland and much of Scotland this evening with the rest of the country mainly dry. A number showers may be found in the west tonight but overall it looks largely dry. Cooler in the north and milder in the south with minimum temperatures of 8 to 14C.
Saturday
The windy weather continues into Saturday with gales developing around exposed western coasts later in the day. Much of the country will start the day dry with some sunny spells, but cloud increases to bring outbreaks of mainly light rain to Northern Ireland, western Scotland and western Wales. In the afternoon the rain becomes heavier in the west with rain likely across all of Scotland, northern England, Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England. The Midlands, East Anglia and the southeast may stay fair and dry. This evening persistent rain affects most of England and Wales. It will be quite a windy night. Expect maximum temperatures of 12 to 17 Celsius.
Sunday
Another windy day to come with gales again developing towards southwest England in the afternoon. In the morning outbreaks of rain should clear this will give way to sunnier skies for the afternoon with a number of showers across northern and western parts of the country. Some of these look to be heavy with a slight risk of thunder. Eastern parts of England may escape most of the shower activity. Outbreaks of persistent and heavy rain the southwest this evening may spread into Wales and the southern half of England in the night and may be accompanied by gale force winds as a storm approaches southwest. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 14 Celsius.
