Saturday
Breezy conditions affect the UK and Ireland during Saturday. Bright and sunny spells in eastern England and Scotland to start the day, with clouds increasing from the west throughout the afternoon. A band of rain spreads quickly across Ireland during the morning, clearing the far west by the afternoon. A few showers in western Wales and Scotland during the morning, before more persistent rain spreads into western Scotland, north-west England, Wales and south-west England by the afternoon. This rain becomes heavy at times across high ground. Patchy rain reaches the Midlands by evening. Highs 14 to 16C in central and southern England, cooler in the north and west.

Saturday night
Spells of rain affect the UK overnight, with blustery conditions and cloudy skies for many areas. A band of rain affects south-east England, whilst frequent and squally showers affect Wales and south-west England. Showery rain also affects northern England, southern and western Scotland. Lows 6 to 10C.

Sunday
A windy day for the UK and Ireland on Sunday, with gales developing in the north-west through the afternoon. West to south-westerly winds gusting over 50mph across northern and western Ireland, and in the Irish Sea. Gusts in excess of 40 mph becoming widespread across England, Wales and southern Scotland into the afternoon. Frequent squally showers affect western regions of Scotland, north-west England, Wales and south-west England. Some of these showers spread further inland through the afternoon. Eastern Scotland, plus eastern and southern England should remain mostly dry with some sunny spells, although windy. Heavier rain spreads into south-western England and Wales by the evening accompanied by strengthening winds. Highs 11 to 15C.

Monday
A very active area of low pressure is expected to bring stormy conditions across southern Britain overnight from Sunday into Monday morning. Heavy rain will also sweep across southern Britain during the early hours. Channel coasts are likely to be worst affected by wind, with gusts in excess of 70mph, possibly even topping 80mph. Southern counties of England, as far as the south Midlands possibly receiving gusts over 60mph, which may be higher depending on the track of the storm. The strongest of the winds ease by the middle of the day, although gusty winds continue to blow squally showers into all western regions of Britain and Ireland through the afternoon. Central and eastern England, plus eastern Scotland will see sunny spells and scattered showers. Highs 9 to 13C.
