Sunday
The morning starts very windy with gusts of 55-65mph across eastern Scotland and north east England. The winds moderate late in the morning and in the afternoon but staying windy and heavy rain is likely for the north east of Scotland and there is stays wet for much of the day. Elsewhere expect a good deal of dry weather with sunny spells and some showers around western coasts. The showers will persist into the afternoon while an area of more persistent rain comes in across south west England. Mostly sunny and dry across central and eastern parts of England. Expect highs of 8 to 11 Celsius.

Sunday Night
A windy evening and night along the channel coasts with gusts of 50mph. Rain will spread in across South Wales, The South Midlands and into southern England this evening and will be heavy. Overnight the rain becomes confined to East Anglia and the south east with the rest of Britain having a dry evening and night with well broken cloud and colder than of late. Minimum temperatures of 1 to 5C.

Monday
After a cold start, much of the United Kingdom will be breezy and colder on Monday with all parts dry and mostly sunny. Rain spills in across Northern Ireland in the evening then across all but East Anglia and the south east during the night as milder conditions moves into the west. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.

Tuesday
Increasingly windy today. A wet start to the morning for much of the country and the rain looks heavy. Through the course of the morning the rain will be clearing to showers from the west, the rain clearing the far south east early in the afternoon as sunnier spells develop behind the front. Showers are expected in the west tonight with some patchy rain possible across parts of Wales and southern England. Winds of 50mph again may affect the extreme southern coastal countries of England. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 12 Celsius.
