Thursday
Cloud and rain affecting the south of England at first this morning. This is going to be clearing southwards with drier weather then following. Showers will be affecting Scotland, some of them heavy and turning wintry over the hills. Some showers across northwest England and west Wales too. This afternoon sees a few showers cropping up through the Midlands and southwest England, but still most of them will be in western Scotland. Eastern parts of Scotland and England will have the best of the sunshine. Temperatures at 5 to 8C in Scotland, generally 9 to 12C through England and Wales.
Thursday night
A dry night to come through most central and eastern parts of England and Scotland. Showers will be affecting more western areas, and these are going to be heavy at times, especially on the hills. A windy night in Scotland. Lows near 2 to 5C, but 0C in central Scotland.
Friday
Low pressure will be to the north of Scotland on Friday. This drives a westerly flow through the country. Troughs will be moving eastwards bringing showers with them. Most of the showers affecting more western areas where they could be heavy at times, but there will still be some to the east. Highs around 8 to 11C.
Saturday
A small area of low pressure looks set to cross southern parts of the country on Saturday. This is going to be bringing cloud and rain through England and Wales at first, but clearing east in the afternoon. Cooler and drier weather then follows from the west and north with some sunny spells developing. A cold day for many with highs of 5 to 8C, but up to 10C in the far south of England.
