Rain into the SE Showers in west seiten=4 abk=focus

Friday
For western parts of England, Scotland, and Wales expect occasional showers through the day and a few may be heavy, interspersed with dry, sunnier periods. The rest of Britain can expect a largely dry day with sunny spells but an area of more persistent and heavy rain may affect an area from about Hampshire to Suffolk during the afternoon, although there is some uncertainty how far north this may extent. A dry, mostly sunny day across Northern Ireland. Expect highs of 7 to 10 Celsius.

That area of rain in the south east soon clears from eastern parts of East Anglia and the south east early this evening. A number of heavy showers will be found around the western coasts of Scotland, England and Wales into the evening and the night while most inland parts of Britain look dry, mostly clear and colder with a touch of frost in sheltered locations. Minimum temperatures of 1 to 5C.

Saturday
In the morning an area of rain moving through the channel may affect the southern coasts of England but again, the northward extent of the rain is not clear. For western areas further showers are expected and a few may penetrate into central areas of England in the afternoon as that rain in the far south clears. Eastern areas look chiefly dry with the best of the sunshine. A dry evening and night and with more of a breeze, frost is likely to again be in sheltered areas. Maximum temperatures of 5 to 9 Celsius.

Sunday
A rather cold start to Sunday but a dry morning with sunny spells. Cloud increases in the west in the afternoon as an area of rain spreads into Northern Ireland, western parts of England and Scotland and Wales later in the afternoon. Eastern areas stay fair and dry. It becomes milder and windy through the evening and the night as the rain spreads eastward. Maximum temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.
