Saturday
A chilly day for Saturday with rain affecting Wales and southwest England in the early morning. This area of rain will be passing eastwards through the morning and will be heavy at times in southern England, before clearing the southeast by mid afternoon. Drier and brighter weather follows from the west. Showers affecting Wales, northwest England and western Scotland, some of them heavy at times. More eastern areas should be brighter with sunny spells and it should be dry here too. Tops at 7 to 11C.

Saturday night
Scattered showers clearing southeast England during the first part of the night. A few showers always affecting eastern coasts, but these tending to be well scattered. Drier elsewhere with clearer skies and this leading to a cold night. Lows at -2C in northern England and Scotland, 3C around the coasts.

Sunday
A ridge of high pressure building through the country during Sunday. It will be a frosty start but dry for all. Some good sunny spells forming once any early mist and fog patches have cleared. It should then stay fair for most throughout the day. The sunshine turning hazy in the west as rain and gales push into Ireland through the evening. Highs around 7 to 10C.

Monday
Low pressure north of Scotland on Monday with higher pressure to the south of the UK. A front will be bringing rain in the morning in more southern areas, but this fading, although southern England, Wales and Ireland will be damp, murky and cloudy into the evening. Scotland will have showers, some of them heavy, especially in the west, although sunny spells forming here through the day. Highs at 8 to 14C.
