Sunday
A cold start to today with a frost in the north. A dry day for much of the United Kingdom with long spells of crisp, sunshine. It will cloud over Wales, Northern Ireland and south west England during the afternoon with some rain reaching Cornwall later in the afternoon. Brisk north west winds will moderate through the day. Expect highs of 6 to 9 Celsius.

Sunday Night
That area of rain across Cornwall spreads in across much of south west England, western Wales and Northern Ireland in the evening with Scotland and central and eastern parts of England mostly clear and dry. In the night the rain spills in across all but East Anglia and the south east, the rain heavy across western Scotland. It will also become milder in the west as the winds become strong in the west with gales in north west Scotland. Minimum temperatures of 3 to 8C east to west.

Monday
A milder day to come today and a wet and windy Monday morning. The rain clears Scotland in the morning and becomes light and patchy across England and Wales in the afternoon. Most places look dry in the evening but rain again spreads up across England and Wales in the night, Dry across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 15 Celsius.

Tuesday
Very windy across northern Britain today. Any residual rain across East Anglia and the south is expected to quickly clear away. A number of heavy showers are forecast for western parts of Scotland. The bulk of the United Kingdom should be dry and mostly sunny. It stays windy in the north with rain into northern Scotland tonight. With lighter winds in the south it is expected to turn cold enough for a touch of frost. Maximum temperatures of 9 to 11 Celsius.
