A milder day to come today and a wet and windy Monday morning. The rain clears Scotland and Northern Ireland in the morning. Generally drier across England and Wales in the afternoon but staying cloudy with some patchy light rain in places. Expect highs of 11 to 14 Celsius.

Monday Night
More rain to come across England and Wales into the evening and night but by morning it should have cleared all but south eastern parts of England. That rain a bit heavier for a time across East Anglia and the south east. Still quite windy in the north with heavy showers for western Scotland. Minimum temperatures of 5 to 9C east to west.

Tuesday
Very windy across northern Britain today. Any residual rain across East Anglia and the south is expected to quickly clear away. A number of heavy showers are forecast for western parts of Scotland. The bulk of the United Kingdom should be dry and mostly sunny. It stays windy in the north with rain into north west Scotland tonight. With lighter winds and clear skies in the south it is expected to turn cold enough for a touch of frost. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 11 Celsius.

Wednesday
Increasingly windy with gusts up to 60-70mph in the north west of Scotland. Outbreaks of rain to affect Northern Ireland and Scotland in the morning then northern England and Wales in the afternoon. Central, eastern and southern England remains fair and dry. The rain crosses The Midlands and East Anglia in the evening then mainly dry. Very windy tonight with gales but it's mainly dry and clear as it turns cold in the north. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 10 Celsius.
