Friday
Cloud and some spots of drizzle or light rain affecting northern and western coasts of Scotland through today. It will be windy in these areas too. For England and Wales there may be some morning fog patches in more rural parts of central and southern England and Wales, but these clearing quickly. The day should then be one of sunny spells and broken cloud with some good spells of sunshine. Just a low risk of a shower in the far southeast. Highs at 7 to 10C.
Friday night
A dry night for most with some good clear spells, especially over central and southern areas. Windier through the far north of England and Scotland giving a few spots of rain on western coasts. Lows will be around 0C in southern areas of the country bringing a risk of a slight frost, but holding at 3 or 4C in Scotland.
Saturday
High pressure will be to the southwest of the country through Saturday, with low pressure to the north. A cold front slipping southeast into Scotland bringing wind and rain here. For most other places it will be a bright day with sunny spells although an increasing risk of a few spots of rain over the hills on northwest England and Northern Ireland. Highs at 9 to 12C.
Sunday
A front becomes slow moving from southern Ireland, through Wales and into the Midlands and East Anglia on Sunday. This brings an area of mist, murk, drizzle and light rain through these areas. Brighter for Scotland with some bright or sunny spells, although some brighter spells in the far south of England too. Tops near 7 to 10C.
