Sunday
A generally cloudy day to come across the country with a good deal of low cloudiness but some morning sun to come across eastern parts of Scotland. An area of rain, mostly light, edge's it way in across Northern Ireland, northern England and Scotland in the afternoon after a mainly dry morning across Britain. Expect highs of 8 to 10 Celsius.

Sunday Night
It becomes windier across Scotland for the evening and night. This evening that rain tends to pep up and turn heavier across southern Scotland and northern England where it persists into the night. To the south it stays cloudy and dry, to the north it becomes colder across northern Scotland with a few showers turning wintry over the Highlands. Minimum temperatures of 4 to 7C.

Monday
Through the day it will be turning colder from the north as the winds begin to switch to the north west. Outbreaks of moderate rain across north east England, south west England and Wales in the morning will be clearing from the west as it spreads into central and south east England in the afternoon. Drier and sunnier weather to come as the rain clears with showers near western coasts and these of snow across western and northern Scotland and also across the northern coasts of Northern Ireland. The last of the rain clears East Anglia and the south east early this evening. A windy, cold evening and night with a risk of snow showers around western coasts and eastern Scotland, dry and clear inland with a frost in some sheltered locations and some icy patches. Maximum temperatures of 5 to 9 Celsius.

Tuesday
Much colder today and feeling even colder in a brisk north west This will bring wintry showers to western and eastern coasts of England and Scotland and western Wales. Much of inland Britain looks sunny and dry. In the evening confidence is low but we could see rain, preceded by some snow spreading west to east into all but East Anglia and the south east. Maximum temperatures of 2 to 5 Celsius.
