Severe Gales North Mainly Dry seiten=4 abk=focus
Friday
We expect a good deal of cloud to come across southern Scotland, England and Wales this morning perhaps just the odd spot of patchy rain here and there that won't amount to much. It will turn very windy across Scotland with a few showers to turn wintry over high ground. Then as it becomes windy across all parts of the country in the afternoon, it will turn dry with more the way of sunshine spreading down from the north. Gusts in excess of 60 mi./h will affect Scotland and will add to the cold feel of the day. Expect highs of 6 to 9 Celsius.
Friday Night
Expect a very windy evening and night across Britain and in the evening gusts of 70 mi./h are expected across north eastern Scotland. It will also be turning colder from the north with more cloud and showers around eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Otherwise will be dry with clear spells and variable cloud. Too much wind for ground frost tonight with minimum temperatures down to -1 to 3 Celsius.
Saturday
Saturday after a windy start, the winds will be moderating through the day. Most parts of the country will be fair dry with some cloud and sunny spells. Scattered showers though may affect eastern coasts along with western parts of Wales and Cornwall. Some rain may affect northern Scotland tonight. Most of the country will be dry with clear spells but with lighter winds, expect a frost to develop. Maximum temperatures of 4 to 7 Celsius.
Sunday
A chilly day to come across the United Kingdom but overall we can expect good deal of dry weather with low broken cloud and sunny intervals. Perhaps more cloud in the west may be thick enough to give a few spots of patchy drizzle to Wales and around Irish Sea coasts. With high pressure across the country the evening and night will be dry with clear spells. With more cloud and wind across Scotland, East Anglia and the southeast, a frost mainly confined to the Midlands, Wales and northern England. Maximum temperatures of 5 to 7 Celsius.
