Very windy across East Anglia and the south east this morning, these winds moderate later in the afternoon. Outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain across central, north east and southern England will be clearing from the west by the afternoon as it turns drier and sunnier. Heavy rain too to come across Northern Ireland with rain into south west Scotland and Wales. By the afternoon the heavy rain is expected to be across Scotland and Northern Ireland with snow over high ground. Expect highs of 4 to 9 Celsius north to south.
Saturday Night
Showers will affect Scotland, north west and south west England and western Wales this evening and tonight with heavier rain and snow across northern Scotland. Elsewhere it looks mainly dry with clear spells. With lighter winds we may see a widespread frost and some icy patches by morning. Expect minimum temperatures of 0 to 4 Celsius.
Sunday
Increasingly windy with gales into the west this afternoon. Gales then affect much of the country for the evening and night with gusts of 50-60mph. Apart from a few showers in the west, much of the country will have a dry day with sunny spells. Cloud thickens to bring rain to Northern Ireland and the far west of England and Wales by the end of the afternoon. This leads to a wet and windy evening and night with spells of heavy rain and a risk of flooding. Expect maximum temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.

Continued windy today with gusts over 60mph around western coasts. A wet morning with spells of rain clearing from the west. By afternoon it will be drier and sunnier with a number of showers running into western areas with rain for northern Scotland. It stays windy into the evening and night with most areas dry except for showers in the west. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 10 Celsius.
