Tuesday
Tuesday remains blustery and unsettled, with showers frequent in the west once again. Showers should be lighter and less widespread than Monday, with longer dry spells in central and eastern Britain. The south of England is again prone to more frequent showers, sometimes merging into more prolonged showery outbreaks along the south coast. Highs 7 to 11C

Tuesday night
Showery bursts of rain continue in the west overnight and staying breezy for all. Clearer spells in eastern Scotland and eastern England. Thicker cloud in the south, with an area of rain expected to moves across southern and south-eastern England during the early hours, which could be locally heavy. Lows widely 4 to 6C, a few spots in the east may fall to 2 or 3C under clear skies.

Wednesday
Low pressure remains dominant to the north by Wednesday but with lighter winds. A dry start for most with just a few scattered showers in the north-west in the morning. Thicker clouds in the south ahead of a small area of low pressure develops in the south-west. Rain expected to arrive through the morning for south-west England and south Wales, then spreading across the Midlands and southern England during the afternoon with some heavier bursts at times which may lead to localised flooding. Northern England and Scotland likely to remain drier with lighter winds throughout the day. A few showers in western Scotland and Ireland. Highs 6 to 7C in the north, 9 to 11C in the far south.

Thursday
Overnight rain in the south and east clears for Thursday, although starting cloudy. Brighter and sunny spells develop during the day, feeling slightly cooler with a west-north-westerly breeze. A few showers for north-western Britain and Ireland, some maybe getting towards the Midlands. Drier and brighter in the east by afternoon. Highs 4 to 6C in central and northern areas, still 7 to 8C in the south.
