A cold start with a local frost in the north and west. A fine, dry and sunny morning except for a few showers around western coasts of northwest Scotland and northwest England. The showers wintry for northern Scotland. In the afternoon still a few showers to come for the northwest of Scotland but most parts of the country will stay fine, dry and mostly sunny. Expect highs of 4 to 8 Celsius north to south.
Saturday Night
It stays dry and clear for this evening allowing a frost to develop across the north. Overnight it will be cold and clear with a widespread frost across the country but as the winds pick up in the west, this should clear western areas. Expect minimum temperatures of -1 to 3 Celsius.
Sunday
Increasingly windy today with gusts to 50mph developing around exposed western coasts. Much of the country will be dry into the morning and the afternoon with sunny spells but it tends to cloud over across Britain in the afternoon with rain into Northern Ireland. In the evening rain turns heavier spreading into western parts and northern areas then into all areas in the night with snow over The Highlands. Expect maximum temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.
Monday
Rather windy again, more so in the west. Any residual rain across East Anglia and the south east soon clears. Scattered showers to come around western and southern coasts. For many it looks fair and dry with sunny spells. Overnight a belt of moderate rain moves into Britain but staying dry across East Anglia and the south east. Expect maximum temperatures of 5 to 8 Celsius.
