In the afternoon an area of heavier, showery rain spreads in across western Scotland, Wales western England and into the south of England. Eastern parts of England stay fair and dry. Windy this afternoon with highs of 4 to 8 Celsius.

Monday Night
Windy in the evening as that area of showery rain spreads in across eastern Scotland and eastern England. This is forecast to clear away in the night with a few showers to follow into the west. Skies will be clear inland and as the winds fall light, expect a frost in the north and west with some icy patches. Expect minimum temperatures of 0 to 3 Celsius.

Tuesday
A colder day today. Much of the United Kingdom will be dry with sunny spells and variable cloud. Best of the sunshine will be in the east. It becomes windy this evening and tonight as outbreaks of rain across Northern Ireland and northern Scotland spread into all of Scotland, northern England, Wales and south west England during the night. Expect maximum temperatures of 3 to 6 Celsius.

Wednesday
Wednesday an area of rain mat persist across England and Wales for much of the day and this may add to the flooding risk. Brighter across Scotland and Northern Ireland with sunny spells and coastal showers. It becomes mainly dry through the evening and night with showers around western coasts. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.
