Thursday
A front passes eastwards on Thursday morning. It brings some heavy spells of rain with it as it passes through Scotland, England and Wales, this falling as snow on the hills of all btu southern England. The rain clearing eastern coasts by midday, although perhaps not before a few flakes of sleet or snow have fallen at lower levels in northeast England and eastern Scotland. Brighter weather then follows from the west, with sunny spells for most and feeling cool. Showers affecting western coasts and hills, soem of them wintry in Scotland. Temperatures rising to 3 to 6C.

Thursday night
A dry night ahead for most. Skies will be clearing in central and eastern areas allowing a frost to form. With roads and pavements being wet there is a likelyhood of widespread ice. Further west cloud is going to be increasing with light rain spreading through Ireland and into Wales. The rain heavier over western Scotland by the morning. Lows at -1C in the far east, 4C in the west.

Friday
Fronts extending north to south through the UK and Ireland on Friday. There will be rain in more western areas in the morning. This then spreasds eastwards into the afternoon bringing wet weather into Scotland, northwest England, Wales, and southwest England. The rain into the Midlands and central southern England later. A cold day away fro the west with highs 3 to 5C, but 10C in Northern Ireland.

Saturday
After some heavy overnight rain, Saturday looks set to bring a mix of sunshine and showers. Most of the showers will be across northern and western areas, with some of these heavy and turning wintry over the hills of Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England. Less showers to the south and more sunshine here. Highs at 4 to 8C.
