Friday
Increasingly windy throughout the day today, especially in the north and west. Eastern parts of Scotland down through the north east England into East Anglia and the southeast starting the day dry and bright and quite cold with early frost clearing. To the west though it will be cloudy with outbreaks of moderate rain and through the afternoon and that area of rain will be working its way into most parts of the country. This may fall as snow across the Highlands for a time. Highs of 4 to 7 Celsius.
Friday Night
This evening the rain clears from Scotland, Northern Ireland, northwest England, Wales and Cornwall with a few coastal showers to follow. During the night the rain clears central and eastern parts of England while another area of showery rain moves in across parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland. It does remain quite breezy through the course of the evening and night with minimum temperatures of 3 to 5 Celsius.
Saturday
A dry morning across eastern, central and southern parts of England. To the north and northwest. It will be cloudier with sporadic outbreaks of rain and showers and through the afternoon this band of rain and showers will continue pushing south across much of England and Wales as it turns sunnier with a few coastal showers in the north. It does also become very windy by the afternoon. We expect rain to have cleared by evening with most areas having a dry evening with clear spells. The winds will drop across central and eastern areas during the night allowing for sharp frosts to develop along with some icy patches. More cloud comes into the west. As the winds strengthened from the south. A milder day today with maximum temperatures of 6 to 10 Celsius.

Sunday is looking very windy with gales rain across the country. Outbreaks of rain initially across Northern Ireland are expected to sweep eastward across much of the country. The rain becomes heavy in the afternoon as it clears by evening and turns colder it may turn to snow above the high ground of Wales, northern England and Scotland. It stays windy into the evening and night with the risk of wintry showers across Scotland, northern England, Wales and southwest England. It could also turn icy on untreated roads and surfaces. Expect maximum temperatures of 3 to 7 Celsius.
