It stays rather windy across the country on Tuesday these winds become quite strong from the east across Scotland this evening and tonight. Overall rather cloudy day with some outbreaks of rain across much of the country. In the afternoon this rain is likely to persist but is likely be quite patchy in nature. Still some rain around across Scotland, Wales and southwest England in the evening with snow over the Highlands there's a risk of some patchy rain across much of the country during the course of the night. Expect maximum temperatures of 3 to 8 Celsius.

Wednesday looks to be a colder and rather windy day with a good deal of cloud and some sporadic outbreaks of patchy light rain here and there. In the afternoon some wintry showers may affect eastern parts of Scotland. Overnight it will be cold with a risk of wintry showers around eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Further in line with lighter winds could see a widespread frost and some icy patches on untreated roads and surfaces. Expect maximum temperatures of 3 to 5 Celsius.
