A dry, bright morning for central and eastern areas with showers in the north and west, these heavy and merging into longer spells of rain with some hill snow across Wales, northern England and Scotland. This showery rain spreads into all but East Anglia in the afternoon. Some of the showers may be heavy with a risk of thunder and hail. Highs of 3 to 7 Celsius.

This evening those strong winds will be affecting England and Wales and generally is rather cloudy with further showery outbreaks of rain with hill snow across Scotland. Continued windy overnight with some light showery outbreaks of rain across Scotland, perhaps northern England, Wales and southwest England. Central and eastern areas should be dry. Expect minimum temperatures of 2 to 4 Celsius.

Sunday remains rather windy, especially across Scotland. Much of Northern Ireland, central, southern and eastern parts of England should have a dry day with sunny spells and occasional cloud. Spells of rain are forecast for Scotland and into northwest England with hill snow across Scotland. A number showers will affect Wales and southwest England. Much of the country should be chiefly dry to the course of the evening and night but it will cloud over in the west with southerly gales developing around western coasts.
