Sunday
High pressure is centred to the south-west of the British Isles on Sunday. Dry with sunny spells across central and southern Britain and Ireland along with light winds from the west or north-west. A breezy day across northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with persistent rain and showers in western Scotland, perhaps a few showers also extending to north-west England and eastern Scotland in the afternoon. Cool in the wind in northern areas, 8 to 11C, but reaching 13 to 15C in central and southern regions.

Sunday night
Showery rain continues the affect Scotland and the far north of England on Sunday evening but tending to ease and clear away to the east. High pressure to the west builds across the country overnight, with clearing skies for many. Temperatures falling to between 2 and 5C widely, with a touch of frost in sheltered rural locations.

Monday
High pressure brings a fair day on Monday, staying dry across the UK and Ireland. A little more in the way of cloud towards the east, but there should be lengthy spells of sunshine throughout the day for all parts. After a cool start, temperatures will reach 10 to 12C in the north, and 13 to 15C in the south.

Tuesday
High pressure centred just east of the British Isles on Tuesday gives another dry day. A chilly start with a slight frost in rural areas. Becoming mild for most areas during the day, but staying quite cool along eastern coasts of England and Scotland, where low cloud and mist may move in from the North Sea. Warmest in sunshine in central and western Britain, but with an increasing south-easterly breeze for southern and western regions. Highs 11 to 16C.
