Monday
High pressure centred over the British Isles brings a dry day on Monday, with lengthy spells of sunshine across the UK and Ireland. A little more cloud towards the north and east, and it may feel quite cool on eastern coasts in a northerly breeze. Very isolated showers may affect the Scottish Highlands, most likely in the morning. After a cool start, temperatures will reach 10 to 12C in the north, and 13 to 15C in central and southern areas.
Monday night
Clear skies and light winds for most areas overnight will allow temperatures to fall sharply, with a touch of frost in rural areas. Overnight lows widely 1 to 4C, but locally dropping towards 0C or just below freezing in some spots. A little more cloud and breeze over Ireland and the north-west will keep temperatures a few degrees higher.
Tuesday
High pressure centred just east of the British Isles on Tuesday gives another dry day. Good spells of sunshine for most areas during the day, but staying quite cool along eastern coasts of England and Scotland, the risk of patches of low cloud and mist affecting the coast. Warmest in sunshine in central and western Britain, but with a cool easterly breeze for southern coasts. Top temperatures inland reaching 13 to 15C.
Wednesday
High pressure is positioned to the east of the UK on Wednesday, with another fair day for England and Wales, although likely to be more cloud than previous days. Best chance of sunshine in the south of England. Fronts to the north-west bring patchy rain to the far north-west of Ireland and northern Scotland. Mostly light winds from the south or south-east, strongest on eastern coasts. Highs 10 to 16C.
