Heavy downpours in the south Continued mild seiten=4 abk=focus
Monday
Today there is a risk of some heavy, thundery downpours of rain. The main threat of these appears to be across the South Midlands into southern parts of England. For the rest of Britain expect a good deal of cloud but generally it will be dry in the main with little in the way of sunshine. Expect high temperatures of 12 to 17 Celsius.
Monday Night
Any residual showers in the south should fade in the first part of the evening. Much of the country should then have a dry evening and night but we will keep a good deal of cloud and that will give a mild night. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.
Tuesday
A warmer day to come with perhaps the highest temperatures across North Wales. Expect a good deal of cloud across Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland today. Dry here with just a small shower risk. Across Wales along with central and southern parts of England a number of showers will develop through the day with some locally heavy. Much of the country will have a dry night. Expect maximum temperatures of 13 to 20 Celsius.
Wednesday
It continues quite mild today. More showers to come across England and Wales and again some of these will be on the heavy side with limited amounts of sunshine. We may see more persistent rain across Scotland. Overnight rain spreads to much of Britain as it turns colder across northern Scotland, perhaps even some snow over the highest of ground. Expect maximum temperatures of 10 to 19 Celsius.
