Lots of dry weather Chance of showers far south, mild seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
Mild across the country today. There is a risk of some locally heavy showers in the extreme south of England, south of the M4. A few sharp showers may also develop over the Pennines, The Brecons and the high ground of Scotland. The rest of the United Kingdom looks mainly dry with some sunshine and large amounts of cloud at times. Expect high temperatures of 13 to 19 Celsius.

Tuesday Night
Any residual showers in the south should fade in the first part of the evening. Much of the country should then have a dry evening and night but we will keep a good deal of cloud and that will give a mild night. Some rain may affect north east Scotland. Minimum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.

Wednesday
It continues quite mild today. More in the way of showers to come across much of the country today after a mainly dry start. The showers become heavy and more frequent in the afternoon but few if any in the south east of England. More persistent rain may affect south west England later in the day and this may spread in across Wales and central and southern England tonight Rain also moves in across Scotland and Northern Ireland as it turns colder across northern Scotland, perhaps even some snow over the highest of ground by morning. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 19 Celsius.

Thursday
Brisk north east winds in the north will be spreading colder air south during the course of the day and night. Plenty of heavy showers and longer spells of rain to come across the country, this clears Scotland by afternoon with a few wintry showers over the mountains. Rain in the south of England clears all but perhaps the far south east in the night. It will be cold enough for a frost but it may be restricted to western areas sheltered from the wind. Expect maximum temperatures of 8 to 15 Celsius north to south.
