Thursday
A cloudier mornings across all but the far southeast. A weak front affects Wales and northern northern Midlands, this fading as the day progresses but still reaching the western Midlands by evening. Some further spots of drizzle in northern and western Scotland as well as western Ireland. Dry elsewhere with cloud breaking in eastern Scotland and northeast England allowing for some sunny spells to come through here. The best sunshine in southern England (away from the southwest). Tops at 16 to 26C.

Thursday night
Staying cloudy across most northern and western areas with outbreaks of rain. The rain becoming heavy in western Scotland and Ireland. Drier across much of England and eastern Wales with some clear spells in more central and southern areas. A mild night with temperatures falling to 12 to 15C.

Friday
Low pressure will be close to the Brest Peninsula on Tuesday. This brings some cloud and outbreaks of rain to the far south of England, especially the southern coasts. Elsewhere cloud will be broken with more sunshine as you head further north. It should be dry for most, although a low risk of a shower in western Scotland. Highs near 16 to 23C.

Saturday
A ridge of high pressure extends through the country on Wednesday. This should bring a dry and fair day for most with good spells of sunshine. Cloud is likely to increase through Scotland and Ireland later, with the chance of a shower on the hills. Highs at 24C in southern England, 19C in Scotland.
