A mixed weekend to come with some early rain, then sunny spells and showers, most in the west. Early next week brings further sunshine and scattered showers with little change expected as the week progresses.

Sunday 6/7/14
An area of low pressure will be close to the west of Scotland on Sunday. This is going to be bringing further showers to all parts of the UK and Ireland, some of them heavy and thundery. The highest risk of the showers will be in more northern and western areas, although the far southeast may again be dry. Highs at 15 to 22C.

Monday 7/7/14
Low pressure is expected to be centred to the north of Scotland on Monday. This will be bringing a mix of sunshine and shower to all areas. Most of the showers will be to the north and west with some of them heavy and thundery. Highs at 16 to 24C.



Tuesday 8/7/14
A northwest flow over all areas through Tuesday. This brings a mix of sunshine and showers to all. The showers probably heaviest in the east with the fewest tending to be in more western areas. Highs at 15 to 23C.

Wednesday 9/7/14
A weak ridge of high pressure building through the country on Wednesday. There will be sunny spells but also some showers. Highs at 16 to 24C.

A weak ridge of high pressure building through the country on Thursday. There will be sunny spells but also some showers. Highs at 16 to 24C.

Friday 11/7/14
Sunny spells and scattered showers through Friday. A few of the showers will be heavy. Highs at 15 to 24C.
