Scattered heavy showers Breezy around coasts seiten=4 abk=focus

Saturday
Early on Saturday morning, pulses of rain move across England and Wales, with some possibly heavy bursts in eastern areas. Rain slowly clears and fragments from the west through the morning, although a few heavy showers may continue in central areas into the afternoon. A fresh south-westerly breeze along Channel coasts. Wales and northern England may fare best for some brighter and sunny spells breaking through, and avoid the worst of the showers. For Scotland and Ireland, it is a breezy and unsettled day, with showers, locally thundery over the Highlands, and merging into longer spells of rain for Ireland. Feeling cooler than recent days in the south, highs 20-22C here, 15 to 19C in the north and west.

Saturday night
A scattering of showers continue in the north and west overnight, but most should fade away. England and Wales largely dry with clear spells. Breezy in the west and north. Light winds inland and for eastern England. Overnight lows typically 7 to 12C, may locally drop lower in rural northern areas.

Sunday
Showers affect many areas on Sunday, although they will be scattered and with sunny spells in between. Most frequent showers again in north-western parts of Britain, locally heavy and thundery. Fewer showers in the south-east. A breeze from the south-west, quite fresh around southern and western coasts. Temperatures ranging from 15-18C in the north-west to 20-23C in the south-east.

Monday
Low pressure remains centred to the north of the British Isles on Monday. Winds will be light for most, and showers are expected to break out, particularly by afternoon. Some may be heavy and slow moving in central areas. The south-east may avoid the worst and see sunny spells. Rain may turn more persistent in north-western regions of England, Wales and Scotland, also Ireland. Highs 15 or 16C in the north-west, to 22 or 23C in the south-east.
