Fair and Dry for Most Rain into the East Tonight seiten=4 abk=focus
Wednesday
A breezy day to come across the country and it will be quite windy around North Sea coasts where it will feel cool. For much of the country it will be a dry day with the best of the sunshine in the west. Eastern areas will be cloudier and that cloud will continue to thicken up as we go through the day and may bring in some patchy bits of rain to eastern parts of Norfolk, Suffolk and Kent before the afternoon is out. High temperatures of 17 to 22 Celsius.
Wednesday Night
It will be staying rather windy throughout the evening and tonight. Outbreaks of rain are expected across north east England, East Anglia and the far southeast this evening. Overnight the rain may affect much of eastern England with another area of rain moving into Northern Ireland. Most of Scotland along with Wales, central and south western parts of England should be dry. Minimum temperatures of 12 to 15 Celsius.
Thursday
Brisk northerly winds will tend to moderate as we go through the day. There is some uncertainty how far the area of rain in the east will progress westward. At the moment it appears wet from northeast England down through the East Midlands to about Hampshire and areas eastward. The heaviest of the rain may be across north east England but this may change. Some heavy showers to come across Northern Ireland, perhaps the rest of the country stays dry. That area of rain in the east may persist into the evening, tending to fragment and become light overnight. Expect maximum temperatures of 15 to 23 Celsius.
Friday
A warmer day to come on Friday and a bit more humid. Still quite a bit of cloud to come across eastern England with a few spots of rain or scattered showers. In the afternoon much of the United Kingdom will see sunny spells and occasional showers, although few showers by then across eastern England. Showers tend to fade away through the course of the evening with lots of the country then dry overnight, although spells of moderate rain may affect Northern Ireland. Expect maximum temperatures of 20 to 24 Celsius.
