Friday
A cloudy and murky start to the morning for much of England, Wales and Ireland. Thundery rain affecting many parts of central and western England as well as Ireland and Wales. Drier and remaining hot in East Anglia and southeast England. A dry start in Scotland with some sunshine, although clouding over in the south. Brightening up across the south through this afternoon as rain reaches western and southern Scotland, although staying dry in the north and east. Showers in Ireland. Tops at 21 to 24C in the north and west, but as high as 32C in southeast England.

Friday night
A few thunderstorms breaking out in the far south of England this evening. These then become more widespread as they spread north into the southern England and the Midlands with the threat of some torrential bursts of rain. Cloud and some rain in eastern Scotland and northeast England too. Dry to the west. Lows near 11 to 18C.

Saturday
Low pressure over England and Wales bringing cloud and rain through much of England, Wales and southern and eastern Scotland, this thundery at times. Misty too. Staying cloudy into this afternoon with further periods of rain in England and Wales as well as western and southern Scotland. Eastern Scotland and eastern England may be drier. Sunshine and showers in Ireland. Highs at 22 to 28C.

Sunday
Low pressure over eastern England on Sunday. There will be spells of thundery rain in eastern areas, some heavy. Drier and brighter to the west and south, but some thundery showers developing in northern England and Scotland. Temperatures rising to around 20 to 27C.
