Monday
An area of low pressure remains to the north of Scotland on Monday. There will still be some outbreaks of rain in the far northwest, most of this fading through the course of the day, although lingering on northern coasts until evening. The winds easing here too. Elsewhere the day will be largely dry with some good spells of sunshine, although a few showers are likely in southern Wales and across southern England, these very well scattered. Temperatures rising to 15 to 25C.
Monday night
A dry night to come for most of the country. Skies are going to be largely clear. Scattered showers may affect the far south of Ireland but for the vast majority of Ireland and the UK it will be staying dry throughout. A chilly night, the threat of a touch of ground frost in mid Wales, northern England and central Scotland. Lows at 3 to 11C.
Tuesday
A ridge of high pressure will be affecting the UK on Tuesday, although this slowly slipping off to the east. Generally it will be fair for most of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland with some good spells of sunshine. However, a scattering of showers forming in the afternoon. A higher risk of showers across Ireland from late morning, these turning heavy and thundery into the afternoon and reaching Northern Ireland in the late afternoon and evening. Highs near 16 to 23C.
Wednesday
Low pressure will be centred to the south of Iceland on Wednesday, with an occluded front passing eastwards. This brings some showery outbreaks of rain with it, probably clearing the east of Scotland and England by mid afternoon. Brighter weather with a mix of sunshine and showers follows from the west. The showers could merge into longer spells of rain in Ireland and western Scotland. Highs near 15 to 23C.
