Tuesday
Raining again in northern and western Scotland today, this continuing to affect western areas throughout the day. Heavy showers affecting the far south of Scotland too, some of them thundery. Windy in Scotland too. Through England, Wales and Ireland there will be broken cloud and sunny spells. The best sunshine always tending to be in the east, but there will be showers too. The showers could be heavy and thundery, especially in northern England, Wales and southwest England. Highs at 14 to 20C.

Tuesday night
More rain across northern Scotland overnight. Showers on western coasts and hills, but increasingly there is a risk of showers later in the night over eastern parts of Scotland and England. Drier through more southern areas and remaining breezy as well. Lows near 8 to 12C.

Wednesday
Low pressure is going to be centred o the northeast of Scotland on Wednesday. This is going to bring a breezy day with a mix of sunshine and showers, gales in Scotland. Most of the showers affecting northern areas, but some running down eastern coasts too. The driest conditions in more southern parts of England and Wales where the best of the sunshine will be too. Highs at 14 to 23C.

Thursday
An area of low pressure remains to the east of Scotland on Thursday. There are likely to be more showers than recent days. These may merge into longer spells of rain at times, especially in northern and western areas. The bands of showers passing eastwards through the UK and Ireland during the day, with a risk of a thunderstorm too. Highs at 14 to 21C.
