Saturday
A deep area of low pressure to the north of Scotland through today. This is going to be bringing strong winds and gales in Scotland. A band of rain slipping south during the day, most of it fairly light and generally affecting more northern and western areas. Increasing winds over Northern Ireland and northwest England with cloud and some outbreaks of rain from late morning and into the afternoon. Northeast England should be dry with broken cloud although a few sunny spells too until early afternoon. For the rest of England and Wales a bright start to the morning with good spells of sunshine, especially in the south and east. Thicker cloud reaching Wales with some drizzle in the far north later. Highs at 13 to 22C.
Saturday night
A breezy night for all parts of the country, and windy over northern England and Scotland as well as Northern Ireland. Showers affecting the north and west of Scotland too, some of them heavy. A band of rain across central Ireland, through northern England and this area of rain heading southwards into Wales and the Midlands later in the night, most of it to the west. Drier elsewhere with broken cloud and some clearer spells. Lows near 9 to 13C.
Sunday
A deep area of low pressure off the eastern coasts of Scotland on Sunday. This brings gale force winds through Scotland and parts of Northern Ireland as well as northwest England. Heavy showers in Scotland and Ireland, these merging into longer spells of rain across northern and western Scotland. Some rain in the far south of England and Wales as a front clears south to be followed by broken cloud, some bright spells and a few showers; breezy here to. Highs at 12 to 19C.
Monday
A large area of low pressure to the east of the country on Monday. This brings a cold and windy day to northern and eastern areas with frequent showers and plenty of cloud here. Brighter skies further west and south, but still feeling cold in the northwest wind. A band of showers passing south through northern England, Wales and Ireland too, these then into the Midlands through the afternoon. Drier to the far south. Highs at 12 to 20C.
