Cool, sunny spells Few showers seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
The cool northwesterly flow continues through Tuesday. There will be some showers early in the morning, mostly through Wales and the Midlands, these slipping southwards into the afternoon although remaining fairly well scattered. A further area of showers affecting northern Scotland and these continue throughout the day. Away from the showery areas it is going to be a bright and mostly dry day with some spells of sunshine. High temperatures reaching 12C in northern Scotland, 19C in southern England.

Tuesday night
A few showers on eastern coasts at first tonight, and an odd one affecting western coasts too. For most the night is going to be dry. Skies will be clear for many and with the winds easing temperatures will be falling quickly. A touch of ground frost could occur in central and southern Wales where lowest temperatures could be at 3C, more generally 5 to 7C.

Wednesday
Low pressure over Scandinavia on Wednesday with higher pressure west of Ireland. A cold northwest flow still affects the UK an Ireland. There will be sunny spells and a few showers through the day, most to the north and east but just about anywhere is at risk of catching one. The showers far more scattered to the west and south with most p[laces here staying dry with some good spells of sunshine. Highs near 12 to 21C.

Thursday
A small area of low pressure is expected to be over Scotland on Thursday bringing an intensification in the showers here. For the rest of the UK and Ireland the day will be one of sunny spells and scattered showers. The showers may become more persistent across Northern Ireland. Temperatures at 13 to 20C.
