Very windy across northern Britain, down through northern Wales and the North Midlands. Outbreaks of rain across Wales and through central and southern parts of England will gradually the push in a way towards the southeast as it clears from the north west. Rain may not clear the far southeast until the end of the afternoon. To the north of this high pressure should keep it settled and dry with sunny spells. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 20 Celsius.

It remains rather breezy across the country through the course of this evening and tonight. With high pressure building now from the north, most parts of the country should be fine and dry this evening and overnight with clear spells. It will turn quite chilly across Scotland, even with a touch of frost. Expect minimum temperatures of 5 to 11 Celsius north to south.

Today some rain may edge in across southwest England and south Wales. For the bulk of the United Kingdom though, it's going to be a settled, dry day with sunny spells. More cloud may occasionally affect eastern coasts. This evening rain is forecast for Northern Ireland, Wales and southwest England and during the night the rain is expected spread north east into most parts of the United Kingdom. Maximum temperatures of 15 to 20 Celsius.
Thursday
The area of rain across Scotland and northern England will continue to move north will linger across northern Scotland. As the rain clears suspected mixture of cloud, sunny spells and showers across England and Wales. This evening the rain to northern Scotland. Clears the most of the showers fade with all parts of the country having a dry, mostly clear night with a few fog patches developing by morning. Expect maximum temperatures of 16 to 22 Celsius.
