Tuesday
A breezy day to come through Scotland, Ireland, northwest England and northwestern Wales. There will be showers affecting these areas, some of them heavy. Further showers affecting southern coasts of England, some spreading into the southeast. Elsewhere it will be drier and brighter with sunny spells, the best of these across eastern areas of England and Scotland. Temperatures rising to a mild 11C in southeast England, 7C in western Scotland.

Tuesday night
Cloud and outbreaks of rain across Scotland and Northern Ireland through tonight. Further showers affecting the far northwest of England and western parts of Wales too. Staying breezy here too. Elsewhere it should be dry with some clear skies and these will allow temperatures to fall low enough to give a touch of frost through central and eastern parts. Lows at 1 to 2C under the clearer skies, 5C on coasts in the west.

Wednesday
Low pressure remains to the northwest of Scotlannd on Wednesday with a ridge of high pressure building to the south. An occluded front and trough moving through Scotland and Northern Ireland will be bringing cloud and outbreaks of rain here, most of them in the west. Breezy here as well. A few showers for the north and west of Wales as well as northwest England. Elsewhere it is going to be dry with sunny spells, although an isolated shower cannot be ruled out over western and southern coasts and hills. Highs at 8 to 11C.

Thursday
Low pressure remains dominant through Thursday. A front is going to be clearing eastwards taking some heavy periods of rain with it. Following will be sunny spells and plenty of dry weather. Showers affecting western coasts and hills, a few of them heavy in places. Further heavy showers for western Ireland, and the risk of some more persistent rain in the south later. Highs at 7 to 10C.
