Quite a windy day to come across Scotland, particularly in the north with gusts to 50 mi./h this morning. For Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England, it will be dry with good sunny spells today. More cloud is expected across Wales and the southern half of England this morning and apart from some patchy drizzle across Wales and around the Greater Manchester area, elsewhere it should be largely dry. As we go through the course of the afternoon the cloud in the south should gradually break up allowing some late sunshine through. Expect maximum temperatures of 14 to 21 Celsius.
Friday Night
Apart from some light rain and drizzle across north western parts of Scotland, it should be a fine, dry evening to come with well broken cloud. Rain and drizzle will linger in the northwest of Scotland tonight. The bulk of the United Kingdom will remain dry with mostly clear skies. It will remain breezy in the north but with lighter winds in the south, a few fog patches may develop across central and southern parts of England. Expect lows of 7 to 10C.

Still some rain and drizzle is expected in the extreme north western parts of Scotland today. With high pressure now across the rest of the country, it promises to be a fine, dry day with good spells of sunshine. Feeling warm in the south. Tonight the rain becomes a bit more heavy across the western half of Scotland. The remainder of United Kingdom will have another dry night with fog patches again by morning. Maximum temperatures of 14 to 16 Celsius across Scotland and Northern Ireland but 17 to 22 Celsius for England and Wales.

South eastern parts of Scotland should be dry today. But for the rest of Scotland and Northern Ireland. It will be a cloudy day with outbreaks of rain. England is expected to remain dry with sunny spells after some locally dense fog patches across central and southern parts of England clearing the morning. A few showers could develop across Wales and perhaps the West Midlands. Another warm day in the south with above average temperatures. Tonight rain lingers across the northern half of Scotland with a risk of a few showers across northern parts of England. Mist and fog patches are likely to develop in the south. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 23 Celsius.
