Monday
A colder day to come across the United Kingdom. Pulses of heavy, showery rain will affect East Anglia and the south east throughout the day and the morning will be very windy around those coasts. A number of showers are expected across northern Scotland and around western coasts in the morning. Late in the afternoon a heavy belt of showers and rain may affect Northern Ireland, western parts of Scotland, England and Wales. Best of the dry, sunnier weather today is likely to be from eastern Scotland down across central England to Dorset. Maximum temperatures of just 8 to 11 Celsius.

Monday night
This evening heavy showers may persist across Northern Ireland and across Wales along with western parts of England. Mainly fine and dry across the remainder of Britain. Overnight the showers may be found across northern Scotland, Wales and north west England and some heavy ones may threaten Kent. With the winds falling light it will be a cold night and where any lengthy clear spells develop we may see a local frost. Expect lows of 2 to 6 Celsius.

Tuesday
Another quite chilly day to come. Rain is expected across northern Scotland. Overall it's a much drier day to come with a good deal of cloud and sunnier spells. There will be a scattering of showers around western and southern coasts. Much of the country will have a dry evening and night with clear spells and a frost possible by morning. Maximum temperatures of 9 to 12 Celsius.

Wednesday
There should be a good deal of dry weather across the country today with varying cloud and good sunnier spells. There is a risk of a few showers near western Wales and Cornwall and perhaps near eastern coasts of Scotland. Any showers fade by evening with much of the country then mostly clear and dry for the evening and night but rain may edge in across Northern Ireland. A cold night with a widespread frost likely to develop. Maximum temperatures of 7 to 10 Celsius.
