Tuesday
Low pressure is going to be centred to the east of Scotland on Tuesday. A band of cloud and rain surrounding the low will affecting eastern Scotland, with this area of rain slipping south into the far northeast of England. Showers affecting northern and western Scotland as well as the west of England and Wales together with northern and western Ireland. A further area of showers or rain affecting the far southeast of England and East Anglia, but this tending to clear through this morning. Elsewhere it will be bright with sunny spells, and it should be dry too. Highs near 10 to 12C.
Tuesday night
Showers affecting northern and eastern Scotland tonight. A few showers may also affect northern and western Wales as well as the far southwest of England. Other areas should see skies clearing. There is a risk of a touch of frost through central Scotland and northern England. Lows generally around 1 to 4C, but holding up at around 7 to 8C on many coasts.
Wednesday
A ridge of high pressure building through the UK and Ireland on Wednesday. Low pressure is still in the North Sea though, and this brings some showers along eastern coasts. For all other areas the day is likely to be dry with some good spells of sunshine, although feeling cool. An odd shower over northern and western Wales, and again some will affect Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly as well as western and northern coasts of Ireland. Highs at 8 to 12C.
Thursday
Low pressure west of Scotland brings rain eastwards through Ireland on Thursday morning, the winds increasing to gale force in western areas too. Further east the day starts dry and chilly, but cloud increasing as the fronts arrive in the west. Rain turns heavier through Scotland, Ireland, western Wales and western England through the late morning and afternoon, this then slipping eastwards as the day progresses. East Anglia and the far southeast may well remain dry throughout. Highs at 9 to 12C.
