Thursday
A cold start to this morning with a widespread frost across many central and eastern parts of England and Wales. Increased cloud and rain are already through Ireland, and this is going to be spreading east into Scotland, Wales and southwest England as the winds increase to gale force here. The rain then moves through much of Scotland and northern England this morning, with patchy rain into the Midlands and southern England this afternoon. The far southeast staying dry. Windy for all by this afternoon and highs at 5C in central Scotland, 12C in southern England.
Thursday night
A windy night with an area of gales spreading east through the country. Rain affecting many areas, most to the north and west at first, then pushing east as the night progresses. Heavy showers follow through Wales, Ireland and western parts of Scotland. Central and southern Scotland seeing some particularly heavy rain which could lead to some localised flooding. Lows near 6 to 10C.
Friday
Low pressure will be to the northwest of Scotland on Friday, although a further low will be crossing northern England. Rain in eastern England at first will be clearing to leave a few brighter spells, but the threat of some severe gales. An area of rain across Wales, northwest England and much of Scotland, brighter weather for Ireland, although still windy here. Highs at 7 to 12C.
Saturday
A further area of low pressure crosses Wales and England on Saturday. This takes an area of rain with it, some of it heavy through much of England and Wales. Scotland sees showers in the west, some heavy, with the showers and rain affecting western Ireland too. String winds through southern and southeast England with temperatures at 8 to 12C.
