Sunnier, drier Showers west seiten=4 abk=focus

Sunday
For much of the United Kingdom, today promises to be a much better and drier day and with less wind it won't feel as cold as previous days. Any residual rain across East Anglia and the south east clears. There should be some good spells of sunshine, best of these across central and eastern areas. In the west expect more cloud and there will be a scattering of showers mainly around western coasts of Scotland, England and Wales. A few showers too may affect the channel coasts. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Sunday night
This evening and overnight there remains the risk of a few showers around western and southern coasts otherwise a dry, clear evening to come. Overnight a band of showers may also affect the south east of England. There is a risk of patchy frost in the countryside tonight, especially in the north. Expect lows of 3 to 7 Celsius.

Monday
It becomes increasingly windy today with gales developing in the south west. Outbreaks of rain spread in across Wales and south west England this morning with showers in the far south of England. In the afternoon the rain turns heavier spreading into Northern Ireland, western Scotland, north west England and the Midlands. Eastern Scotland and eastern parts of England should stay dry. Most places look wet and windy into the evening and night but it may stay dry across East Anglia and Kent. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Tuesday
Much of Tuesday is looking wet and windy making it feel rather cold. Further spells of rain are likely and some of it is going to be heavy with a risk of local flooding in the west where the rain may be heaviest and most prolonged. It may be that East Anglia and Kent sees little in the way of rain. The heavier rain may clear off to the east tonight but it is likely to stay damp and windy with sporadic outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 12 Celsius.
