Showers across Wales and the south west in the morning will give way to outbreaks of more persistent rain in the afternoon and here it turns very windy. This rain also spreads in across Northern Ireland. The rest of the country will have a dry day with cloud and sunnier spells. Maximum temperatures of 8 to 13 Celsius.

Monday night
A wet and windy evening to come across Northern Ireland, Wales and western parts of England, dry elsewhere. For the East Midlands, East Anglia and the south east will stay dry tonight with outbreaks of rain expected across the remainder of the country. Not as cold tonight with lows of 6 to 10 Celsius.

Tuesday
A wet and windy day for much of the United Kingdom with outbreaks of moderate to heavy rain, though East Anglia and the south east may be largely dry. Further spells of rain are expected across much of the country into the evening and the night and it remains quite windy. Maximum temperatures of 10 to 13 Celsius.

Wednesday
It becomes sunnier with showers across Wales, Northern Ireland and south west England this morning with rain across the north and east. The rain clears away this afternoon with a number of showers across western parts of Scotland, England and Wales. Central and eastern areas become mainly dry and sunnier. Tonight will be dry and clear except for coastal showers in the west and the south. Maximum temperatures of 11 to 13 Celsius.
