Plenty of cloud affecting most of the UK and Ireland today. There will be a few spots of drizzle in eastern Scotland and northeast England, but for most it should be dry. Some dense fog in Northern Ireland, Wales and northern England at first, this tending to clear from most areas, although perhaps staying in Northern Ireland for a while. Little changes this afternoon with more cloud in most places. There will be a few breaks in the cloud, the best of these in east Anglia and southeast England. Highs at 8 to 11C.
Thursday night
Staying mainly cloudy through tonight. There will be lots of dry weather for most. A few spots of drizzle affecting eastern coasts, and a few bits of drizzle over hills too. Some clearer spells could develop over southern England. Mist and fog patches are likely just about anywhere, these becoming dense where skies are clearer. Lows of 4 to 8C.

Low pressure is to the northwest of Ireland through Friday. High pressure is east of the country. Fronts will be pushing cloud and rain northwards through the UK and Ireland, bringing rain. Most of the rain in western areas, but damp and dull over the rest of England. Some drizzle for eastern Scotland at first, the the rain arriving in the south later. becoming breezy across northern England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Highs at 9 to 12C.
Saturday
Low pressure remains to the northwest of Ireland on Saturday. A front brings cloud and rain across much of East Anglia, southeast England and the Midlands. Wales should be drier, although cloudy and there will be some rain in the south. Northern England is expected to be largely dry. Cloud and rain in northern Scotland with showers i the west. The best sunshine reserved for Ireland, although there will be showers on western coasts and hills. Highs at a mild 10 to 13C.
