Cold again Snow flurries seiten=4 abk=focus

Tuesday
A chilly morning on Tuesday for all. Cloud and some flurries of sleet and snow affecting eastern parts of England, extending into the eastern Midlands and across much of southeast England. More northern and western parts of England and Wales are likely to be dry and bright with sunny spells. Thicker cloud in Scotland with some snow flurries in central and northern areas, and rather cloudy in Ireland too with bits of sleet and snow in the west and south. This afternoon sees rather a lot of cloud in much of England and Wales. The best sunshine in western areas of Wales, northwest and southwest England. Further snow flurries in central Scotland with another band of snow showers in the north later. Highs at a cold 2 to 5C.

Tuesday Night
Some snow showers affecting eastern England and eastern Scotland tonight. These continuing throughout. Further west it should be drier with clear skies in places. A widespread and severe frost under the clearer skies in the west with lows of -3C for many, perhaps to -8C over the snowfields of northern England and southern Scotland, nearer -1C in the cloudier east.

Wednesday
Wednesday sees high pressure to the west of Ireland. A north to northeast flow over the British Isles and Ireland brings some cloud and outbreaks of sleet and rain in the east. The threat of some more persistent sleet or snow in East Anglia and the southeast, although most of it light. Drier to the west, some bright spells on western coasts sheltered from the breeze. Highs at 2 to 6C.

Thursday
An area of high pressure is expected to be just west of Ireland on Thursday. A front passing southwest over the UK and Ireland will be bringing lots of cloud and outbreaks of drizzle, especially in the south and east. Probably drier in Scotland and Ireland. The best of any sunshine for western Scotland. Highs near 2 to 6C.
