Eastern areas will have a cloudy and chilly start to the day. Spots of rain and sleet turning to snow as it moves inland, although not amounting to much. Further west it will be brighter with sunny spells, although still chilly. East and south of Scotland will be bright and dry with more sunshine. Cloud and some sleet or snow in northern and western Scotland, this lasting throughout the day. Highs at 2 to 5C.
Wednesday Night
Cloud over East Anglia and southeast England tonight, bringing an odd sleet or snow flurry. Bits of drizzle and light rain in Scotland, but for most it should be dry with broken cloud. A frost under clearer skies in the west with lows of -2C.
Thursday
High pressure is to the west of Ireland on Thursday. A northeast flow affects most of the country. A weak front brings more moist air to all areas. There will be a fair amount of cloud and some drizzle, especially on eastern coasts. Scotland and Northern Ireland may well become dry during the afternoon. Highs near 2 to 5C.
Friday
High pressure remains to the northwest of Ireland on Friday. Most places are going to be dry with broken cloud and a few bright or sunny spells. Cloud again affecting eastern coasts with a few spots of drizzle or rain here. Southern coasts may sea a little drizzle too, and it will be feeling cold here in the northeast breeze. Highs at 2 to 6C.
