Thursday
Eastern areas will have a cloudy and chilly start to the day. Spots of rain and sleet turning to snow as it moves inland through these areas, although not amounting to much. Further west it will be brighter with sunny spells, although still chilly. East and south of Scotland will be bright and dry with more sunshine. Cloud and some sleet or snow in northern and western Scotland, this lasting throughout the day. Highs at 2 to 5C.

Thursday Night
Cloud over East Anglia and southeast England tonight, bringing an odd sleet or snow flurry. Bits of drizzle and light rain in Scotland, but for most it should be dry with broken cloud. A frost under clearer skies in the west with lows of -2C.

Friday
High pressure will be through Scotland and Ireland on Friday. This is going to be bringing plenty of dry weather with sunny spells. A more brisk northeast wind over England and Wales gives cloudier skies here, although some sunny spells are likely to be developing across southwest Wales and southwest England. Highs will be near a chilly 2 to 4C.

Saturday
High pressure to the northwest of the UK on Saturday. This brings plenty of dry weather, but a fair amount of cloud too. The best of the sunshine is going to be in more western areas. Highs around 4 to 7C.
