High pressure building from the west brings a dry day overall across Britain and Ireland. Cloudy for many areas and occasional sunshine, mostly toward the south and east. Very brief drizzly showers are possible near English Channel coasts and south-east England. A little patchy drizzle too over the hills of north-west Scotland and northern England. Light winds for most, but a chilly north-easterly wind will affect southern England, particularly near the south coast. Daytime temperatures between 3 and 6C.

Most places dry overnight, apart from locally patchy light drizzle. A lot of cloud should keep temperatures just above freezing for many areas, although locally frosty in rural areas where skies clear, particularly Wales, western and south-western regions of England. Remaining breezy in the south and south-east, but light winds elsewhere. Lowest temperatures typically -2 to +2C.

Generally dry across Britain and Ireland on Saturday, with high pressure centred to the north-west. Patches of drizzle may affect some areas, particularly over this hills of northern Britain. It will feel cool in a north to north-easterly breeze in eastern England and near the south coast. Mostly light northerly winds elsewhere. A lot of cloud around for many, although occasional sunshine may break through, most likely for Wales and western regions of England. Daytime highs 4 to 7C.

High pressure centred over Ireland brings dry conditions to all areas of the British Isles. Largely cloudy skies, particularly in the north and west. Occasional sunshine breaking through for eastern Scotland and eastern England. Breezy in the far north of Scotland, and along North Sea coasts, making it feel cool. Light winds inland. Daytime highs 4 to 8C, mildest in Ireland, Wales and the south-west.
