Saturday
High pressure is centred west of the British Isles. Generally dry for most areas, although localised spots of drizzle may occur as weak fronts push southwards. Cloudy skies for many, although some early brightness in the far south. Sunshine may break through in Scotland, northern England and Northern Ireland. It will feel cool in a northerly breeze on the east coast of England. Also a fresh north-easterly breeze close to the south coast. Mostly light northerly winds elsewhere. Daytime highs 4 to 7C.

Saturday night
Cloud remains widespread across most areas overnight, although there will be some breaks. Fog patches may form in some low lying areas, but these should soon clear after dawn on Sunday. Overnight lows typically around -2 to +1C, likely staying above freezing in the east, but locally where skies clear in central, western and northern areas, it may drop toward -4C.

Sunday
A strong area of high pressure centred over Ireland brings dry conditions to all areas of Britain and Ireland. Largely cloudy skies, particularly in the north and west. Sunshine should break through for eastern Scotland and eastern England, perhaps increasingly elsewhere too. Breezy in the far north of Scotland, although the cool breeze in eastern and southern coastal regions of England will ease. Little wind inland across Britain and Ireland. Daytime highs 5 to 8C, mildest in Ireland, Wales and the south-west.

Monday

Local fog patches may form in low lying areas where skies clear. An early frost where skies are clear overnight. A spot of drizzle possible on western hills in Scotland. Daytime highs 5 to 8C.
