Northern parts of the country starting day cold frosty with some locally dense patches of freezing fog across parts of Scotland and perhaps north west England. Across Wales and southern half of England starting rather cloudy but largely dry. In the afternoon some breaks may develop allow some occasional sunshine through, perhaps more so across eastern England with more cloud the west. Expect maximum temperatures of 6 to 8 Celsius.
Sunday night
This evening and tonight remains dry across the country. Throughout the evening and night we expect keep a good deal of cloud. There will be some clear spells in places and where skies remain mostly clear, expect a frost and some fog patches develop by morning. Expect lows of 0 to 3 Celsius.
Monday
With high pressure dominating, it's going to remain unsettled and largely dry. While it will be dry, cloud amounts are difficult to ascertain. Overall expect a good deal of cloud with a few breaks giving a few sunnier intervals here and there. The cloud could be thick enough to give a few spots and drizzle to the hills and coasts in the morning. Expect little overall change to come during the evening and night patchy fog a frost developing cloud breaks occur. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 9 Celsius.
Tuesday
We keep high pressure cross country on Tuesday. Apart from the odd spot of drizzle in the south at first, going to the another dry day to come across the country with large amounts of cloud and the bright or sunny or spell. Throughout the evening in the night remain dry with patches of fog and frost. Much of this will depend on the extent of cloud cover. Expect top temperatures of 6 to 8 Celsius.
