A cloudy start to the weekend across most of the country. Bits of drizzle on hills, especially in the east, with the chance of some more persistent although light rain across southeast England. Further west the cloud is going to be breaking and there will be a few bright or sunny spells here, although these few and far between. Dry in western areas too. Highs near 5 to 10C.

Staying mostly cloudy tonight with some spots of drizzle and light rain in the east. Drier elsewhere with a fair amount of cloud, although some clear periods over parts of Wales, western Scotland and southwest England. Rain affecting the far west of Ireland. Lows near 0 to 4C.

Sunday
Low pressure over eastern France brings an easterly flow through southeast England with cloud and some spots of drizzle, especially close to the coast. Further cloud affecting more eastern areas, but tending to be dry here. Staying dry to the west with the best of any sunshine, although rain into western Ireland and western Scotland later. Highs near 6 to 9C.

Monday
A ridge of high pressure building through Ireland on Monday bringing dry weather here with sunny spells. These sunny spells in western Scotland and western Wales too. An occluded front gives rain through northern and central England, this not moving far as the day progresses. Highs at 5 to 9C.
